Rush is our recruitment process for prospective students! During the beginning of each semester, we host Information and Rush events to give students and current members opportunities to meet one another.

Recruitment: Intro

ㅡ REQUIREMENTS ㅡ

There are NO requirements to join AXS! We welcome anyone and everyone to come out to rush!

Notes:

You DO NOT need to be a Chemistry Major to join! In fact, many of our Brothers are studying a breadth of subjects including and beyond the sciences!
You DO NOT need to have a major declared to join!

ㅡ INVITATIONS ㅡ

After Formal Rush, Brothers will extend invitations for Rushees to Pledge the Rho Chapter based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to:

Genuine interests in joining AXS and contributing to UNC-Chapel Hill’s STEM community.
Positive attitudes and active engagement with the Brothers and all other prospective students throughout Rush.
Availability to start attending weekly Pledge meetings through the rest of the semester (Wednesdays, 6-7 pm)

ㅡ PLEDGING ㅡ

Following Rush, pledging AXS will require a significant time commitment through the rest of your semester. During this time, we will teach you about our organization and its rich history, both within the Rho Chapter and at the national level.

As you prepare yourself for full membership with AXS, you will continue to strengthen the bonds with your fellow Pledge Class and your soon-to-be Brothers.
